This Sunday, 02/06/2025, for the first time in the history of the parish of Saint John Bosco of Rango, 105 children and young choristers made their promise and officially entered the international federation of ” Pueri Cantores” .
This historic moment was marked by the presentation of specific habits to these young people, symbols of their commitment to the service of liturgical singing and the Church. This important step is part of the educational mission inspired by the heart of Don Bosco: to form young people who praise God through song and grow in faith, discipline, and fraternity.
The Mass was presided over by Father Cyriaque Bizumuremyi, chancellor of the bishop of the diocese, and led by the ” Pueri Cantores” group from the parish of Ngoma. This group, rich in its experience, is considered the godfather of the new ” Pueri Cantores” group that was born in our parish of Rango. Their presence and participation gave this celebration a special beauty and solemnity, arousing the joy and pride of all the faithful present.
After the Mass, the guests were welcomed into the great hall of the Saint Luigi Versiglia Novitiate, where a festive meal was shared in a fraternal and joyful atmosphere. During this convivial moment, speeches of thanks and encouragement were given to the young choristers. The latter also enlivened the gathering with songs and dances, thus expressing their gratitude and enthusiasm.
This moment of conviviality allowed us to strengthen the links between the different communities present and to close the day in a spirit of gratitude and communion.
This event will remain etched in the memory of our Christian community as a milestone in the liturgical and pastoral life of the parish. May these young people, supported by their families and educators, become shining witnesses of the Gospel through the beauty of sacred song.
